I have found meditation to be a big help for coping with pain. There is a particular audio from Sounds True: http://www.soundstrue.com/store/mindfulness-meditation-for-pain-relief-535.html that I really like. The narrator has a very soothing voice and focuses on a mind/body connection and the difference between pain and suffering. He says it is possible to have pain without suffering. He is very open, encourages skepticism, and is non-judgemental. The mp3 version costs only 6.99. I haven’t listened tothe whole program yet, but I am impressehd with it so far. You may like it too.
